I;m having somewhat of a problem as I was trying to find approximate fare to Paris Nord from Brussels Midi Station. I know I cannot book until 60 days out but I thought I could get some idea of cost involved for 2 seniors, 1 adult, a one kid )under 18). I went into Thalys and registered for paperless email ticket but it would not accept above folks unless we each had a Thalys number. Maybe it would be better to be just 4 adults. I was trying to use Smooth 2nd class tickets. This is very complicated (at least to me) We are really traveling from Brussels to Paris on 22/12/09 and leaving 23/12/09. We would like to leave Brussels around 7 AM and leave Paris at 6 PM. Can anyone help. Thanks Thanks Thanks

Here are all the fares:
www.thalys.com/fr/en/new-fares/Paris/Brussels
And here are the conditions:
thalys.com/fr/…fares
If you can get 4 Smoove fares at €25 or even €29 each, this is a better deal anyway than senior (€61) and youth (€43) fares - these only come into their own if you find that only higher Opti-Way (€43, €52, €63, €71) or Hi-Life (€86) fares are available for the trains (times) you want on the dates you want at the time you attempt to buy them.
Note that your 18-year old is not a KID (under 12) but a YOUTH (12-25)!
Incidentally check prices offered by Rail Europe, Eurail, Eurorail and the like as they may offer special prices on premium trains like Thalys, and outside Europe it seems it is easier to purchase from these agencies than from the train operator or national rail company.

Thanks so much. May try %26quot;snob%26quot; site too. This may be the easiest way. Anyway I certainly appreciate all the info./

That would be SNCB (Belgian Railways), http://www.b-rail.be/int/E/.
