Having difficulties in making payment on Thalys website

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem that we are encountering on Thalys website.





We are trying to book the return tickets for 2 adults from Brussel to Paris. When we picked everthing (stations, date, time, etc.) and proceeded to payment page, it kept coming back as %26quot;Your payment has been denied%26quot;. As we had booked our hotels using the same credit card, it was not a credit card problem.





If anyone has a clue to solve this situation, please advise.

It IS a credit card problem, or to be more precise, a problem with the level of security applied by Thalys to foreign (non-European) credit cards. The fact that you were able to use your card to book other things on other sites means nothing, see:

No wonder our credit card was not taken by the system...





I just made a pone call to the International Call Centre in Belgium (+ 32 (0)2 528 28 28) and booked our tickets! Confirmation email was sent right away and that was a big relief.
