trains

I have tried to look at the Belguim train site but I can%26#39;t seem to find the information I needed. While I can the site to be in English, the chat line for questions isn%26#39;t!

All I am trying to do is find out what it goes on the regular train from Amsterdam Central to Antwerp Central on the 26th of Sept for 6 adults. The eurostar has a fast train but I am trying to compare prices.

Also we will go to Bruges on 28th and Brussels on 30th, is there a week pass that is most cost effective rather than individual one ways?

Thanks and I really did try the sites! Must be doing something wrong....

If you mean %26quot;what it costs%26quot;, you will not find prices for international trips on the B-Rail site unless you do a test purchase (not confirming the booking, of course): but in any case, since you will be starting your journey in the Netherlands, you would probably do better to look at the Dutch Railways site, www.ns.nl.

I don%26#39;t know of any %26quot;chat line for questions%26quot; on the B-Rail site, in any language! The price for the IC train from Amsterdam to Antwerp has been given in response to a recent question on this site, I only know the price for Amsterdam-Brussels (€39).

There is no Eurostar between Amsterdam and Antwerp, (this operates only between London and Paris/Brussels) there is the Thalys but this is NOT, at the moment, a fast train on that route, it takes exactly 4 minutes less than the InterCity, which is only because it stops at 2 stations less in the Netherlands. It will become a fast train when the high-speed track comes into use but it seems this is not likely to be before next year.

There is no %26quot;week pass%26quot; in Belgium (and if there were, it is unlikely that it would be useful for only 2 trips in one week), but there is something better for your situation, which is the 10-trip rail pass, costing €73. This is not nominative, you can use it between the 6 of you, so for 12 trips (6x2), buy 1 rail pass in Antwerp, which covers your 6 trips to Brugge and then 4 trips to Brussels, buying 2 single tickets.

Antwerp-Brugge costs €13.60 and Brugge-Brussels, €12.90 so this is a good deal. If by any chance you are leaving from BRU airport, the train from the city centre only costs €3 so it is not worth using the pass for that, when it would effectively cost each of you €7.30.
