Brussels to Liege

Hi,

I will coming to Brussels Midi station in September. I need to get to Liege. Can anyone advice how to get there?

Do i get the train from Brussels Midi? What is the cost and the time of the journey?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can take the train from Midi, but as you don%26#39;t say what time you are arriving, I can hardly give you a time, there are several trains an hour and the trip takes about an hour. You can look yourself on http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en selecting Bruxelles-Midi as departure and Liège-Guillemins as destination.

If you are coming from London on Eurostar it costs nothing to continue to Liège as long as you take a connecting train within 24 hrs of your arrival in Brussels. Eurostar automatically includes onward travel to %26quot;Any Belgian Destination%26quot;, you just show your Eurostar ticket when the inspector comes round on the Brussels-Liège train.

If you are not coming on Eurostar and have to pay for this trip separately, it costs €13.60 single.

Thank you for that information qaminari

I had no idea i could get another train for no cost within 24 hours. I arrive at 10.04am so will get a train from there. I guess i will just have to get a single back to Brussels the next day then?

I know this may be bit of a long shot but do you know if the Ramada Plaza in Liege is a good place to stop over for the night? I am going to the Standard Liege v Arsenal game in the evening and wanted something within walking distance or a short bus trip? I did post on the Liege forum but it doesn%26#39;t look like it gets much activity on there

Thanks

Sunny

If you are returning to London by Eurostar, the return ticket will also cover the return from Liege to Brssels Midi, again as long as you don%26#39;t spend more than 24 hours in Brussels.
