Hi,
I%26#39;m going to Brussels in Feb with 12 others, we go to a different city every year and this year it is Brussels. My question is what are the general closing times of Bars in Brussels at this time of year and for a group of 13 lads where would you recommend the best places to go at night.

Around midnight, later at weekends. I have no idea exactly where %26quot;lads%26quot; go at night but you would probably want to be in the St. Géry area, which is reached by the little street to the right of O%26#39;Reilly%26#39;s, opposite the Bourse (stock exchange). In fact you can get a good idea of opening/closing times in the area from the website for that pub alone: http://www.oreillys.com/brussels/index.htm

Thanks for that, we will probably end up in O%26#39;Reillys anyway as there are rugby matches on over that weekend.P.S. %26quot;Lads%26quot; is an Irish term used for people and can be for both sexes and is usually used when there are more than 3 of you.

We were in Brussels last month and on Saturday night, we were out until 3 and the bars were still going. We found a lot of bars in the area sort of north of the Grand Place - some with live music, most with a great beer selection, a few smaller dance clubs with a DJ (not mega clubs with a velvet rope and a line outside or anything, more lowkey than that).

That%26#39;s some good info Velvet Moon, we%26#39;re getting a little long in the tooth for dancing so once the bars stay open we%26#39;ll be happy enough. thanks for that.
