From Brussels to Paris

My husband and I may have to alter our plans in our attempt to get to Paris...not able to get on flight tonight but flight into Brussels looks very good for tomorrow, but we have a rental to pick up at CDG on Saturday and 3 nights in Normandy we have to honor. Questions is...if we fly into Brussels Friday landing at around 8:30, what is the best way to get to CDG. Would love to take a train, but not really interested in trying to drive it. Any suggestions or website info will be greatly appreciated as we attempt to get over again starting tomorrow morning.

Thanx,

Lucy Atlanta

I%26#39;m very confused about what is today and what is tomorrow in your question, but if you were arriving at 8.30 on a Saturday morning, first possible trains would be:

Bruxelles-Nat.-AƩroport dep 09:50

Bruxelles-Midi arr 10:10

Bruxelles-Midi dep 10:21 (TGV - reservation compulsory)

Aeroport Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV arr 11:36

Same departing BRU (airport) at 10.32, arr. Paris CDG TGV 12.53 (TGV from Brussels departing at 11.10).

You can buy TGV ticket from the airport station but I don%26#39;t know whether they would be able to get you a seat on the first TGV as they may stop taking reservations some time before departure.

At other times of day, you would have to take the Thalys from Bruxelles-Midi to Paris-Nord and then the RER from there to CDG airport - but Thalys is also reservation only so you are a bit last-minute with all of this.

If by any chance you are arriving at 20.30 this evening (Friday), I would advise you to take the airport train to Bruxelles-Midi, buy your TGV ticket for the following day, and spend the night at the Ibis Hotel in Avenue Fonsny, at the highest-platform-number end of the station (I think 18), continuing by TGV the following morning.
