how many Saver Passes we need to buy?

My wife and I want to travel to Benelux and France, so I want to purchase the Saver Pass of the Benelux-France option, the Regional Pass, at the eurail website, but I don%26#39;t exactly understand what %26quot;One Saver Pass can be used by 2 to 5 people traveling together%26quot; means.

One word, if my wife and I travel to Benelux and France together all days, how many Saver Passes we need to buy? one or two? Thanks a million!

A little confusing I agree but to clarify the saver pass is not a seperate ticket, you can buy up to 5 tickets and benefit from a 15% discount on the full adult price as long as the five people are all travelling together in one group.

So you would select the number of people as 2 i.e. you and your wife.

Just be carefull that you read the T%26amp;C%26#39;s before purchasing especially relating to suppliments payable and compulsory reservations on high speed trains like the Thalys and TGV and check that you can%26#39;t just get point to point tickets cheaper in advance than buying this pass.

Note also that Eurail is not, as a lot of people seem to think, a European train operator: it%26#39;s an agency that sells tickets and passes for different European railway companies. You would be travelling on e.g. Dutch, Belgian, French Railways or for premium trains, with a consortium like Thalys.

As I understand it, this Saver Pass gives you a discount on a Eurail Pass, not on individual tickets (%26quot;A Saver Pass gives a discount of 15% compared to a single Adult Pass.%26quot;). However, before you consider a pass at all for the Benelux, I would advise you to check the prices for individual trips, because Eurail%26#39;s own official advice is that global passes are not cost-effective in the Benelux, compared with paying for trips individually or possibly using Belgian Railways%26#39; own 10-trip pass (€73, can be used between 2 people). The reason is that the area is so small that it is hard to use a pass intensively enough to benefit, and if you are only taking a couple of trips, you could be paying over the odds.

This doesn%26#39;t apply to France, of course.

Thanks to you both!

After a discussion, we decided to cancell the trip to Benelux. We will stay more days in France.

Anyway, thank you again!
