Parking in Antwerp

Hi,

I am driving over to Antwerp during december. I am staying at the Etap City centre hotel near the station (Lange Kievistraat 145

2000 ANTWERPEN

BELGIUM)

We would like to park our car. Is there anywhere nearby that is either cheap or free? possibly a park and ride? I know that the airport offers free parking? There is supposed to be a carpark next to the hotel but we dont know how much it will cost.

We are also returning via Ghent so similar advice would be appreciated!

thanks

I would suggest you e-mail the hotel to find out the cost of parking in its own garage.

For street parking, see here: http://www.car-parking.eu/city/antwerp.html

For Ghent see tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g188666-i1463-k182…

The Etap has no private parking. I have no idea what the public parking will cost but parking in Antwerp is expensive. In the carpark I use when I%26#39;m at work the daily tariff is 15 euro, BUT this is one of the cheaper parkings because it%26#39;s not very centrally located.

There are various park %26amp; ride places:

• Park%26amp;Ride Keizershoek Merksem: tram no. 3 takes you into the city

• Park%26amp;Ride Metropolis: either tram no. 6 or buses no. 720, 730, 770, 775 take you into the city

• Park%26amp;Ride Linkeroever Blancefloerlaan (this is on the left bank of the river Scheldt): trams no. 2, 3 and 15 will take you into the city.

All the P%26amp;R%26#39;s are within 15 min. from the hotel.

Thanks this is exactly what I need! are the P+R%26#39;s free and how can I find their location? are the names you gave me street names?

thanks in advance

Yes, P%26amp;R%26#39;s are free.

Depending from where you come, I would take the one at Blancefloerlaan (= streetname) at the left bank, or at Metropolis cinema complex north of Antwerp (streetname is Noorderlaan).

I have never paid attention but my husband says the P%26amp;R parkings are clearly indicated.

When you%26#39;re on the tram/bus, tell the driver where you want to go to. If he%26#39;s kind (most are), he will give you a sign where to get off.

Thanks!
