My husband and I will be spending a week in Bruges in a self catering flat. Breakfast is our favorite meal of the day and one of the cheapest to eat out for so we%26#39;d like to find somewhere quaint with great food that will allow us to linger over food and reading material as we plan our day.
We know that we%26#39;ll be missing out on some great breakfasts by skipping the B%26amp;B experience but look forward to cooking dinner after visiting Market day. Any reccomendations are appreciated!

Thank you all for the Suggestions!
Dany_De - I%26#39;m assuming the Hema location is a department store with food served? It%26#39;s a little hard for me to tell since the site is not in English.
Thanks again!

Yes, Hema is a store with a small cafe / restaurant on the uppe sales floor. It must be good as there are always lots of locals in there for a good value meal.

A lot of locals enjoy their brunch or lunch in HEMA.
HEMA is originally a dutch department store.
Shops in Holland (of course), Belgium, Germany and France.

My Fave breakfast place in Bruges is the already mentioned %26#39;Het Dagelijks Brood%26#39;. You site with other guests on a very large table, and there are also newspapers present, it has good atmosphere.
If you like sweets as dessert, try the %26#39;Merveilleux%26#39; .
