fall foliage

Hi! We%26#39;re trying to decide when to visit Belgium this fall. When do the trees change colors usually? And, generally speaking, when are the trees bare? Thanks! :)

Belgium is hardly known for %26quot;fall foliage%26quot;, we have neither the types of trees (especially those that produce the red colours you get in e.g. Canada and New England) or the type of weather - sunny days and cool nights - needed to produce the best colours! The beeches in parks turn yellow and orange, I would guess in September/October; but it is also quite possible that windy weather has removed most of the leaves by then.

These days the leaves can start falling as early as end of August, and the trees will certainly be bare by November.
