Suggestions for a tour company

I will be in Brussells for two nights in May. I was thinking of doing a tour of any World War sights in the area. Does anyone know of any tour companies that do tours in the area?

I know of no Brussels companies that organise tours to World War sites at all.

There are companies in Ieper (Ypres) that organise tours to WWI sites, you will find these in response to previous questions on this subject in the relevant forum, or the Ieper tourist office can help you. You can also just go to Ieper and visit the In Flanders Fields museum, Menin Gate etc.

WWII essentially means Bastogne, and there I don%26#39;t know of any Belgian company that organises visits from anywhere. Certain nationalities come over on tours but these are organised from their own country with the interests of that nationality in mind.

Other than that, in Brussels you can visit the Royal Military Museum, which for example has a walk-through model of a WWI trench, and you could probably organise your own trip to Breendonk concentration camp, near Mechelen (Malines), http://www.trabel.com/mechbreendonk.htm. Also if you were to visit the citadels of Dinant and/or Namur, the local guided tour provides some interesting information on their role during WWII.

Thank you for the information on Belgium. I have a private guide that is taking us on a tour of the area. I will check out the other towns and the concentration camp. The museum sounds interesting too in Brussells. Thanks again for the help.

We are trying to locate a guide for Brussels. If you would share the name and address of your guide, maybe he would be able to help us. Thank you.
