Few facts that may be of help to other potential travellers on this route - especially people doing the mini-cruise
1. You can check in at Hull from 15.00. Boarding starts at 17.00. All very efficient.
2. If you are coming back on the same boat the next day, you can leave your luggage in the cabin. If not, you can still leave it on board with reception staff.
3. All the facilities on board are open well before sailing time at 21.00. This means that you can check in to the cabin, explore, have a drink, have a meal and still go up on deck and watch the ferry set sail.
4. The resturant opens at 18.00 and is less busy before 19.00. I am not a fan of buffet restaurants but the food is excellent, wide choice and unlimited. Soup / cold starters and salads / carvery and other hot main courses - for example Curry, fish, steak pie. Good choice of sweets / ice creams and cheese and bisuits
5. The drinks are also reasonable. £10 for a bottle of Cava, £13 for a bottle of excellent house wine. £18 for the most expensive wine.Drinks in the bar are £3.20 for a pint of Stella and £3.50 for 250ml glass of wine.Large G%26amp;T about £4
6. Breakfast is also a huge buffet of cooked food, fruit, cereals etc etc. Opens 90 minutes before docking.
7. Leaving this ship. This is not as quick as the dover - calais route for example. Its normally about 20-30 minutes after initial docking. So no need to rush breakfast.
8. Very efficient coach to Rotterdam - about 30 minutes to town centre. Rotterdam is ok, but I wish in hindsight I had gone to Amsterdam, another hour on the coach. Tourist information office very near to bus stop. Bus pick up is at 17.00.

Might have been better posting this on Dutch forums, Brugge is in Belgium, not in Holland.

Hi MJD59
Pleased you enjoyed your trip on P%26amp;O NS. I myself was on them last week. While you can start boading about 17-30 (Holland route only)I find it better to board about 19-00.
The Europort boat sail from Hull at about 21-00 to 21-15 hour. And yes it is a good two nights away.
I myself or not a big fan of the buffet restaurant.
It is very good for value but a bit of a bun fight in there is a lot of school trips on board.
Next time you go try Langan%26#39;s a%26#39;la carte restaurest it is about £15 a head more but well worth it.
The coach trip to Amsterdam is about 1hour 15 minutes.
You can only leave your bags in the cabin if you have a suitcase on your boarding card. When you check in if you do not have a suitcase on your ticket just ask them if you can have the same cabin on the trip back.
When you get on board you can upgrade if you want.
If it%26#39;s a special trip try a corner cabin it will be £63 more but well worth it. There is only six of them on the ship so hard to get them
