locker room in brussels

Hi,

Is it safe to leave my luggage/boxes in Brussels airport (locker room)?

I will be gone for 3 days.

Tnx

Yes of course.

I have decided to take a flight to Basel.

My flight reaches there @ 6:00 am and the connecting flight is @ 6:40 am...Will there be enough time to catch the connecting flight. The connecting flight to Basel is by Swiss air.

Will 30 minutes be enough to deposit my baggage into the locker and then get this flight.

Tnx

Michael

When you asked originally you were talking about arriving by plane and then continuing by train, and if leaving anything in a locker at the airport it would have been after clearing immigration and customs, i.e. on the %26quot;landside%26quot; of Brussels airport. While there are lockers on the %26quot;airside%26quot;, these are only in Pier A (mostly Schengen departures, which will normally be your terminal of departure but not necessarily arrival) and they are intended for very short periods so it would cost you €5 for each period of 24 hrs.

See brusselsairport.be/en/services/baggagelockers

Even if you will already have your boarding pass for the second flight, 40 minutes is barely enough time for your hold luggage to be transferred, and for you to pass through passport and possibly security controls as coming from USA and going to Switzerland you are changing from an international to a %26quot;domestic%26quot; (Schengen) flight. Having to find lockers on the airside is going to eat into your transfer time, and what if they are all full, or there are none of the right size? You certainly don%26#39;t have time to pick up luggage if delivered to carrousel and/or to go through immigration and customs to the %26quot;landside%26quot; to use the other lockers or left-luggage service (and then return through boarding pass control and security checks - it can take 30 minutes just to walk from pier entrance to departure gate!).

I don%26#39;t know why you have to leave anything at the airport anyway, but if you can bring it to Brussels you can also take it to Basel. However there is no left-luggage service at the airport, so you would have to leave it at the station if it is not wanted during (this part of) your trip. If I were you I would look into the possibility of sending items on to your final destination as unaccompanied luggage. Contact your airline for advice.

Tnx a bunch for the advice, The reason I need to keep my boxes in the locker is that I want to be free of all the extra luggage. This is a stop over and these boxes are quite big to carry around.

I think the best is (as you mentioned) to check for the unaccompanied baggage from my airlines

I thank you again for you advice.
