Stay away from Amadeus restaurant

Hello,

If you are visiting Ghent and consider eating something nice - keep away from Amadeus.

We went to newly opened Amadeus II on Goudenleeuwplein to eat some spareribs and it was a horrible experience. The staff was very unpleasant, we were grumpily invited to the table and were sitting there for more than 30 minutes and nobody come to take our order. All other customers (not many of them, so the staff was not too busy) were served multiple times but not us. We are very polite and quiet people and we did nothing to deserve such hostility, we tried to order something but staff was ignoring us completly, just passing by whistling and humming under their noses. We felt so stunned that we left without ordering anything.

We suspect there is some discrimination going on there and some customers won%26#39;t be served. Seems they didn%26#39;t like that we spoke English or Polish.

Very disappointing and it definitely spoiled our holiday in Ghent and overal impression of the city.

After that we went to another restaurant and had a very nice meal there, without problems and complications.
