Where to go and where to eat in Bruges

I am taking my partner to Bruges for four days to celebrate his 50th birthday. Please could somebody give me an indication of the %26#39;must do%26#39; activities but more importantly, some advice please on where I can take him for a meal to celebrate; neither of us are fans of %26#39;fussy%26#39; food or lots of different courses (the most we would eat is a starter, main course and pudding) and I am a very fussy vegetarian. I would like decent, tasty, wholesome food and value for money ... if at all possible !

I saw the posts on the vegetarian restaurants that also serve meat but would like to know whether they would be appropriate to celebrate my partner%26#39;s birthday.

Thanks very much.

One of my favorite restaurants EVER is the Sixties. www.restaurantsixties.be/index.asp?taal=uk

It is not a vegetarian restaurant, but you can look the menu over. What you should see depends on what you like. If you like art there are a few museums you should visit. If you like history, I would recommend other activities. It all depends. This site may help: www.ZamsGallery.com However, I recommend DK Travel books to flip through. They are pretty cheap used from Amazon.

Add me to the list that would love info on a restaurant that serves vegetarian! I will be traveling with my 89 year old mother %26amp; my husband - both carnivores - in mid October. Thanks.
