We just got back from Brussels and recommend to all that if you would like to ride a sightseeing bus (hop on/hop off), do NOT ride the green and yellow Golden Tours bus!! Go for the red or blue buses instead. We were lied to by the %26quot;shady%26quot; drivers of this bus on the departure times, the bus was freezing cold and he would not stop when we asked him to! Just a warning...

I wish I had read this before our trip to Brussels last week. I can confidently say that because of Golden Tours%26#39; lack professionalism, organization, and punctuality we missed some of the best parts of Brussels.
We usually enjoy city hop-on-hop-off tours. We find it a fun way to learn the history of the area - but not Golden Tours. The commentary points out buildings but gives practically no background or history. The sound quality is very poor, so you turn up the volume to make out the guide, only to be blasted with elevator music because the levels are so off.
Forget about the printed timetable - the drivers are so busy hustling more suckers onto the bus they stay at every stop as long as possible, or worse double back around to the same stop to pick up more people.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!

I used Golden Tours on my trip as a guide to getting around the city. I found the driver friendly but then again it was early in the day. But I really agree this was not the best company doing business. The sound system was indeed bad, and I found the information lacked substance.

I have taken both the City Sightseeing (Red Bus) and the Golden Tours. The Golden Tours is shoddy, unprofessional and a complete sham. The City Sightseeing (Red) bus is run by Open Tours and the content was much more professional, the route more scenic, and the driver even stopped to match the narration on the audio. I was much more impressed. Avoid the Golden Tour like the plague.
