My family and I will be visiting Paris in April, 2010 and want to take a day trip to Belgium. We will have our 3 year old daughter with us so it must be kid friendly. Heard wonderful things about both cities but thinking Brussels may be better than Brugge for our little one? Your recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I wouldn%26#39;t call either city particularly child-friendly (cobbles are not great with strollers) but of course if you choose Brussels for your day trip you would spend only 3 hrs on trains, rather than 5, not counting waiting time etc.. You also need to consider how long it will take you to cross Paris to and from the Gare du Nord, depending on where you will be staying.
