Going to Belgium next year and would like to combine Oktoberfest with Brussels. Any suggestion on the best way to combine

It takes around 8 hours by train, the most comfortable way being by City Night Line from Cologne at 23:46 (arr. 07:16); to reach Cologne you have direct ICE train from Brussels e.g. at 18:18 from Bruxelles-Midi (18:27 from Bruxelles-Nord). This is not a cheap option, however, it costs around €140 and reservations are essential but you can buy your ticket at any station in Brussels before date of travel.

Direct flights with Lufthansa (or at least now, too early for next year%26#39;s schedule) are coming in at under €100 return. Its a long train journey so that might be your best bet. Otherwise train to Cologne and then Airberlin to Munich. If you book well enough in advance you shoud get a decent fare.
