Steak and Fries

I am coming to Brussels this weekend with a co-worker, staying at the Brussels Mariott downtown for two nights. We are both in our mid 20%26#39;s and are looking for a good authentic (non-touristy) restaurant to get steak and fries and good belgian beers somewhere in the vicinity of the hotel. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just a general response -- we were in Brussels for a few days in September - not sure you could get a bad beer in Brussels. We would love to return and enjoy many more varieties ! We felt that if you stayed out of the main you did very well by price and non touristy.
