Would anybody have any suggestions for things for a couple to do or places to go in Brugge in mid-late December? What might be a really romantic thing to plan?
All ideas will be most welcome!
PS: Where could we get classical or baroque/church music around the city at that time? And does the city have any Christmas markets etc? Does it have much snow at that time? Thanks!

Yes Brugge has a Christmas market. No there is unlikely to be snow (if, as I%26#39;m guessing, you%26#39;re in Dublin, climate is little different from where you are, give or take a couple of degrees) although you never know. There is, however, a snow and ice sculpture festival - held indoors! - next to the station.
For church music I would check with the tourist office in Brugge when you get there, as not all local events may not be found on the internet, but the following churches have organ concerts around your dates:
15.12.2009 / 19.00u / %26#39;t Keerske
20.12.2009 / 16.00u / Church of the Béguinage/Begijnhof
22.12.2009 / 19.00u / Chapel Notre-Dame des Aveugles /OLV de Blindekens

I took a horse drawn ride around Brugge with my boyfriend it was very romantic at dusk. They provided us with blankets so we kept warm. Have fun!

Very funny PS.....

Walking around the canals in the evening is very romantic. After the daytrippers leave, Brugge turns into a different place. Lots of cozy places to eat and fun pubs.
