Can anyone recommend what we can do in Bruges on a Monday,

Many people have told me everywhere is shut in Bruges on a Monday, is this true ?

Not exactly - municipal museums are closed on Mondays (open on Sundays). Private museums like the Diamond Museum, Choco-story, Lace Centre, Lamp Museum and Frietmuseum are open on Mondays. 3 of these are on here: http://www.frietmuseum.be/

It is also a good time for just wandering aroud - perhaps take a walk out to the windmills - combine that with a bit of shopping and maybe a visit to the frites mueseum (which we loved!) and you%26#39;ll have a good Monday.

Although the municipal museums will be cloded I believe that the majority of shops bars and restaurants will be open.

There%26#39;ll be plenty to fill a day, boat trip, bell tower, cycle ride, horse and carriage ride, foot tour, beers, coffees, cakes. Pick any of these for a guaranteed great day.
