i want to do a day trip to brussels from dusseldorf, i have been looking on the bahn site and the prices quoted seem quite high.
am i reading them properly?
one quote was about 200 euro for two of us return!
too expensive for a day trip, my flight to dusseldorf is costing 148 euro for two.
any info appreciated.

the price you quoted looks about right to me, dont%26#39; forget you would need to take a fast train with least connections to make a day trip to Brussels worthwhile.
Discounted airfares cannot be compared to train tickets.
