We are a fan of Chimay beer and aware that we cannot visit Scourmont Abbey, however would like to visit the village of Chimay.
Any recommendations on sights to see, places to eat and drink?
How esy is it to access by train from Bruges? I am under the impresiion it would take approx 2 hours to get there.
Are there any options for accommodation?

I suppose your visit has to be seen as a kind of pilgrimage to the hometown of your favorite beer but do not expect too much. Have a look at his : visithainaut.be/informations/…53259.html
and judge if this is worth a 3 1/2 trip by train and bus.
