Need information on Indian restaurant

Is there an Indian restaurant at CHAUSSEE DE LOUVAIN or nearby?

Yes, there is %26quot;Star of India%26quot;: http://www.starofindia.be/.

Personnaly, I have not eaten there personally, but two colleagues of mine like this restaurant a lot.

It is however not the most inviting neigbourhood of Brussels, but you might know that already.

The Chaussée de Louvain is a very long street, there is a sort of %26quot;curry gulch%26quot; in the area on the border between the communes of St. Josse and Schaerbeek, mostly below (downhill from) Place Dailly. Indian restaurantes here include: Star of India (175), Passage to India (223), Les Jardins du Kashmir (307), Light of India - formerly Taj Mahal (519 - this the other side of Place Meiser) and Shere-e-Punjab is not far from Place St. Josse (on ch. de Louvain) on rue de l%26#39;Artichaut.

You can search for restaurants by type of cuisine and location on http://www.resto.be/ware/index.jsp (postcodes 1210 for St. Josse and 1030 for Schaerbeek).

I will be staying at HOTEL GRESHAM BELSON, CHAUSSEE DE LOUVAIN 805.

Looking for Indian or vegetarian restaurant near this location.

The closest Indian restaurant would be the Shere-e-Punjab, a good 5-6 blocks away from the hotel. However there are a number of restaurants in the area of the Belson/the church on the other side of ch. de Louvain, including a couple of Italian ones which can always provide vegetarian options. Restaurants in Belgium are supposed to display their menu outside so you can look around and choose for yourself when you get here.

There isn%26#39;t one in this area within easy walking distance. The Light of India would have been closest, but has sadly closed down recently. There are some very nice indian restaurants in Brussels.

Try looking at Resto.be. There is an Italian and a chinese restuarant very close to the hotel.
