Bruges to Brussel on 26th December.

Hi all

Does anyboby know if you can get a train from the centre of Bruges to Brussels airport on the 26th December?

Cheers

You can get a train from Brugge to Brussels Airport, usually changing in Brussels, on any day of the year. 26 December isn%26#39;t a public holiday here but even if it was, trains run Sunday service on public holidays (which for Brugge is much the same as for the rest of the week).

For timetable put Brugge and BRU (airport code for Brussels Airport - it will prompt you to select this) into reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. The system will normally show 1 change, at Bruxelles-Nord; from there it is just one stop on the airport train.

The station is not in the centre of Brugge but about 15 minutes walk from there, there are plenty of buses.

I am not sure where are you being directed to by the previous poster, but if you are trying to check the rail timetable for 26th December you won%26#39;t be able to do it just as yet. The timetable in Europe (on most lines) changes on 13th December and the new timetable is not available as yet. But there will be plenty of trains so don%26#39;t worry.

You don%26#39;t need to look up the timetable for a specific date, just for an equivalent day of the week or if you are interested in a public holiday (which this isn%26#39;t), a Sunday. The times don%26#39;t change much anyway - and it is the fact that trains are running at all on %26quot;Boxing Day%26quot; that may come as a pleasant surprise to someone from the UK (I once spent Christmas in London and there was no public transport at all on Christmas Day!).
